To celebrate the end of the challenging year 2020, my parents brought my brother and I on a holiday to Apollo Bay. Apollo Bay is an Australian town in Victoria. It is along the Great Ocean road. t is approximately 87.1 square kilometres. The population in 2016 was 1618 people. There is many places nearby such as Great Otway National Park and more.

Apollo Bay was first settled by timbers cutters in the 1950s who sold sawmills nearby. Back then it was called Krambruk but now it is called Apollo Bay. The name “Apollo Bay” was was named after Captain Loutit when he stopped there with his vessel called Apollo.

According to the guide book, Apollo Bay is one of the major tourist areas in Victoria with its wonderful beaches and activities. It is well know for its delicious pies, especially the scallop pie. In the Great Otway National Park, near Apollo bay, there is protected species of animals and trees. There is also a huge zipline tour with eight stations. My family and I took the challenge to go on the zipline despite the fear of height. Each station is about 100 metre long. Beside zipline, we had lots of fun at the beach. Its beaches has a wonderful view of the sunset.
